WHO AM I?

I’m passionate about exploring how digital experiences and visual communication can motivate people to take action, whether that means encouraging participation in events, community involvement or making everyday interactions more enjoyable. My work often sits at that intersection of design and human connection, granting me the ability to bring people together.

My design approach is community driven, playful, and more so adaptive. I love collaborating with others to shape ideas into experiences, no matter if the project calls for something bold and immersive or clean and functional.

I originally came to Northeastern intending to major in marketing, but through creating social media content, managing event promo, and experimenting with creative work in high school I realized the creative side, rather than the business side, is where I thrived. Outside of design, I built a strong sense of community through being on my club weightlifting team and participating in weekly yoga at my job. Both of these things have taught me the importance of connection, collaboration and shared goals which are values I bring into every project I take on.

My names Jelson Martinez, I’m a second year BFA student at Northeastern University majoring in experience design with a minor in marketing.
