Northeastern Weightlifting
I’ve been elected social media chair for the Northeastern Weightlifting club, and for over a year now I have been making graphics, videos, and promotional material for a team that I love and care for. Having the opportunity to develop my graphic design skills within a community I participate in has definitely helped as I feel a deeper connection to the content i’m creating.
MEET DAYS
Competing at meets is a core part of the sport, and documenting that progress has become a key part of my role. I record and edit short-form videos using simple and effective techniques to share our growth with other university weightlifting clubs.
Taking creative lead on our social presence has been especially rewarding. As a program that’s only five years old, we’re still growing and finding our identity, which has allowed me to experiment with different visual styles and ways of presenting the team for the best engagement.
